fun fridays are back - "Maltese cross"

I started this last year and even though it seemed to get  little interest, ive had people ask why i stopped it..- so if you like this kind of content hit the like ...

Originating in late-16th-century Swiss watchmaking for precise timing, the mechanism earned its "Maltese cross" name from its wheel shape resembling the Knights Hospitaller's symbol and revolutionized film projectors by enabling blur-free frame advances in early cinema.

Today, Geneva drives power applications like automated assembly lines and medical devices for their mechanical reliability, requiring no sensors, as evidenced by their use in over 100 variations documented in engineering texts since the 1800s.
