How many times have you tried to trace a cable and the cable numbers don't line up.
The worst time to realize this is in the middle of troubleshooting or a move/add/change.
i can not stress how important it is to perform a network sanity check every so often. the best time is BEFORE a problem or move/add/change ;)
A good habit to get into is a sample random check after cables are pulled, or before any network changes.
